Building technology, as a necessary instrument for the conception and construction of habitable places, traces the limitations and possibilities of the materials used in the conformation of architectural space.

2018 / In this case the students should reprogram Central Park’s surface which hypothetically was left as a vast residual space (terrain vague).
To further elaborate on the idea of the gated community architecture, a series of different examples among themselves were briefly analyzed with the intent to gather information on the definition of a gated community in Bogotá.
As an extension of the investigation project ISLAND CITY/CIUDAD ISLA, on this occasion we are interested in the architecture of the enclave already present in the urban fabric of Bogotá, and in its possibilities for improvement.

The students are asked to resolve, by means of a soft infrastructure design proposal, a water management strategy in a public space.
Each student will be assigned a partial area of the Van der Hammen Reserve to apply one or several of the design strategies acquired from previous lessons.
